Swee Lee Warranty Terms and Conditions

The SL Warranty is not transferable and is valid only for the original purchaser (“you”).

Your product must have been purchased from Swee Lee Holdings Pte Ltd's (“our”, “we” or “us”) retail outlets in Singapore and/or from our online shop at https://www.sweelee.com.sg.

The Swee Lee Warranty should not be confused with our Used Gear Warranty.

The SL Warranty is valid for one (1) year from the date of purchase (“Warranty Period”) and only in Singapore, except for the following brands and product categories, which are covered as listed below:

  • Vacuum Tubes - 90 days
  • Power Adapters - 180 days

When making a warranty claim, you must comply with the warranty claims procedure. The original purchase receipt must be presented upon our request.

Coverage of SL Warranty

The SL Warranty covers defects in material and workmanship under everyday use and includes parts and labour. The defective product or parts will be replaced or repaired (with comparable and/or refurbished parts) at our sole and absolute discretion. Any product or part replaced shall become our property.

Exclusions from SL Warranty

The SL Warranty does not cover:

1. Damage Due to Misuse or Negligence

  • Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, or neglect of the product.
  • Improper handling, exposure to extreme temperatures or humidity.
  • Failure to follow the operational guidelines provided by the manufacturer.
  • Over-exposure to excessive humidity, temperature, or sunlight.
  • Failure to keep the product in a safe and proper environment.

2. Unauthorised Repairs or Modifications

  • Any repairs or modifications performed by individuals or entities not authorised by the manufacturer.
  • Alterations to internal circuitry, unauthorised component replacements, or modifications to product design or functionality.

3. Normal Wear and Tear

  • Components subject to normal wear and tear, such as guitar strings, drum pads, or digital piano keys.
  • Discoloration, fading, or damage to the original finish.
  • Worn frets, strings, tuners, jacks, switches, pickups, corrosion, or rusting of hardware and plating.
  • Vacuum tubes are covered under a limited 90-day warranty.

4. Cosmetic Damage

  • Scratches, dents, or other forms of cosmetic wear.

5. Subjective Judgment

  • Defects involving subjective opinions regarding the product’s characteristics.
  • Complaints regarding wood grain patterns, color variations, or other aesthetic elements.

6. Inadequate Ventilation or Overheating

  • Damage caused by inadequate ventilation or overheating of digital pianos, digital drums, amplifiers, or other electronic devices.

7. Power Surge or Electrical Issues

  • Damage resulting from power surges, electrical outages, or improper power supply connections.
  • Products must be connected to a suitable power source and protected by a surge protector.

8. Improper Use of Accessories

  • Issues arising from the use of accessories or external equipment not provided or recommended by the manufacturer.

9. Use Outside of Intended Purpose

  • Damage or malfunction resulting from using the product for purposes other than those intended by the manufacturer.
  • Professional use of products designed for personal or recreational use.

10. Third-Party Parts

  • Damage caused by the use of third-party parts, accessories, or components not approved by the manufacturer.

11. Used Gear Products

  • Products purchased under Used Gear do not qualify for the Swee Lee Warranty. (For Used Gear Warranty, refer to the section below.)

Warranty Claim Process

In all cases, our technician will assess the instrument/product to determine if it is eligible for a warranty claim. If the defect or damage is determined to fall within the above exclusions, the warranty claim will be invalid and rejected. All our technicians' decisions will be final, conclusive, and binding on you.

All and any incidental charges, such as consumables, shipping, or delivery fees to and from us, will be borne by you.

Product Collection Policy

You must collect your product promptly upon being notified by us. Any product uncollected after one (1) month shall be deemed abandoned and may be disposed of without further notice in any way we deem fit. We may also claim damages from you, including any storage costs. We reserve the right of lien for unpaid charges.

Refund Policy

We are unable to process cash refunds for any portion of the payment made using vouchers issued by external parties.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed under the laws of Singapore.

Items Damaged In Transit

Remember to inspect all items and ensure you are completely satisfied that your package has arrived in good condition. If you believe your item(s) have been damaged in transit, please contact us within 24 hours to let us know. We reserve the right to reject a return if we are not notified within 24 hours.

Used Gear Warranty

Our 90-day warranty is exclusive to Used Gear and should not be confused with our Swee Lee Warranty. We stand behind the products we sell and want you to be completely confident in the products you purchase from us.

Used Gear Coverage Terms and Conditions

The Used Gear coverage is valid only for the original purchaser (“you”) and is not transferable.

Your instrument or pedal must have been purchased from Used Gear.

The Used Gear Coverage is valid for ninety (90) days from the date of purchase (“Coverage Period”).

You must comply with the warranty claims procedure when making a warranty claim. The original purchase receipt must be presented upon our request when you request warranty service.

Coverage Scope

The Used Gear Coverage covers defects in material and workmanship under regular use and includes parts and labour. The defective product or parts will be replaced or repaired (with comparable and/or refurbished parts) at our sole and absolute discretion. Any product or part replaced shall become our property.

Exclusions from Used Gear Coverage

The Used Gear Coverage does not cover the following:

  • Accidental damage to the guitar or pedal, including drops, spills, negligence, modification, improper maintenance, or misuse.
  • Normal wear and tear to the guitar, including but not limited to discolouration, fading, or damage to the original finish, worn frets, strings, tuners, jacks, switches, pickups, corrosion, or rusting of hardware and plating.
  • Environmental damage, including overexposure to excessive humidity, temperature, or sunlight, or if the guitar or pedal has not been kept in a safe and proper environment.
  • Subjective defects, such as opinions regarding characteristics of the guitar, grain characteristics, or colours of wood.
  • Tampered serial numbers—any guitar or pedal whose serial number has been removed, defaced, or altered in any fashion.
  • Unauthorised repairs or modifications—any guitar or pedal that has undergone repairs, modifications, or dismantling by anyone other than our technician.

Warranty Claim Process

Our technician will assess the guitar or pedal in all cases to determine if it is eligible for a warranty claim. If the defect or damage is determined to fall within the exclusions listed above, the warranty claim will be invalid and rejected. All our technicians' decisions will be final, conclusive, and binding on you.

All incidental charges, such as consumables, shipping, or delivery fees to and from us, will be borne by you.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed under the laws of Singapore.
