What are the Listening Stations?

Our Listening Stations are situated in a dedicated space within our store where you can experience the nostalgia and authenticity of vinyl records at no cost. Equipped with high-quality turntables, headphones, and a curated selection of vinyl albums, the stations offer a unique opportunity to explore different genres and artists in a tactile and immersive way.

How to Use the Listening Stations:

  1. Explore the Collection: Dive into the rich tapestry of music history with Swee Lee's extensive vinyl collection, boasting over 500 records across different musical eras. Immerse yourself in a curated selection of vinyls handpicked by global media powerhouse, NME, with new additions regularly refreshing the collection, ensuring there's always something fresh to discover. Can't find your desired vinyl? Our dedicated team is here to assist you.

  2. Set Up The Station: Open the turntable station. Carefully remove the vinyl from its protective sleeve, savouring the anticipation of the music about to fill the air. Lightly position the record onto the turntable, ensuring it rests snugly in place, ready to spin and release your favourite tunes.

  3. Adjust Settings: Simply press start! The needle will place itself automatically on the first track. Should you wish to change the track, take control and manually navigate through songs by gently guiding the needle to the desired groove on the vinyl record.

  4. Listen and Enjoy: Grab the headphones next to the station then sit back, relax, and immerse yourself in the music. Lose yourself in the crackle of the vinyl and let the sound transport you to another era. While listening, handle the vinyl record and equipment with care to avoid any damage. Be mindful not to touch the playing surface of the record.

  5. Return and Repeat: After listening, return the vinyl to its sleeve and tidy up the station area. Feel free to explore more records and enjoy the experience all over again. If there are any vinyls that you want to take home? Browse our selection to purchase or reach out to our team.

Silent Testing of Guitars

At our Swee Lee Clarke Quay, we understand the importance of finding the perfect guitar that suits your style, preferences and playing needs. We offer a unique service called Silent Play Testing, allowing you to explore our range of guitars in a comfortable and uninterrupted environment. Below, you'll find all the information you need to make the most out of your silent playtesting experience.

What is Silent Testing?

Silent Testing is a service designed to give you, our customers, the opportunity to test our guitars in a quiet setting. This ensures you can focus solely on the guitar you're interested in without any distractions.

How Does Silent Testing Work?

Request Assistance: Let one of our staff members know you're interested in testing a guitar. Our staff will set up the Fender Mustang Micro Guitar Headphone Amplifier at the playtesting area for you.

Enjoy the Experience: Once you are set up with the Headphone amplifier, you can test the guitar without interruption. You can use this opportunity to test out the functions of the Fender Mustang Micro Guitar Headphone Amplifier and the playability of the guitar you are testing

User Guide for the Fender Mustang Micro Guitar Headphone Amplifier

1. Powering On/Off:

To power on the Mustang Micro, flip the switch on the side of the device to the “on” setting. You’ll see the LED indicator light up.

To power off, flip the switch to the “off” setting.

2. Connecting to Your Guitar:

Plug your guitar's 1/4" instrument cable into the input jack on the top of the Mustang Micro. Ensure the cable is securely connected to the guitar and the Mustang Micro.

3. Selecting Amp Models:

Use buttons (-/+) on the side to select from 12 different amp models

4. Adjusting Tone and Effects:

Use buttons (-/+) on the side to adjust tone; selections include a flat setting, two progressively darker and two progressively brighter settings. EQ control is post-amplifier. The LED colour indicates the EQ setting in use.

Buttons (-/+) on the side select the effect (or effects combination) from 12 options. The LED colour indicates the effect model in use.

5. Headphone Output:

Plug your headphones into the 1/8" headphone jack on the Mustang Micro's side for private listening.

Adjust the headphone volume using the volume knob on the Mustang Micro.
